The Color Factory August 09 2017, 0 Comments

I recently had the chance to relive my childhood at the Color Factory.  Color Factory is a pop-up experience in San Fransisco conceptualized by Jordan Ferney the event planner behind the amazing Oh Happy Day blog and shop.  The interactive experience features work by several artists and collaborators.  It was definitely worth the visit to experience the amazing colors and textures.  The little kid in me loved the macaroon wheel and the yellow ball pit the most!

La Lune Turquoise June 14 2017, 0 Comments

For "La Lune" we used turquoise in different motifs and shades in several products. Turquoise is a cooling color, very useful to have around you in the hot summer Ramadan nights.  Here are several of our turquoise products that you can find on our "New" page.

Pretty Benches in Scenic Nooks June 11 2017, 0 Comments

Who wouldn't love a beautiful little nook to sit and read an enticing novel?  I'd love to have one of these three beautiful spaces to be in my future house.

ecru's Soundtrack, Ali Farka Toure & Toumani Diabate's Sina Mory June 05 2017, 0 Comments

As we laze away in the long summer days, we've been listening to the beautiful instrumental music of Ali Farka Toure and Toumani Diabate.  "Sina Mory" is specifically on repeat in the office, but the full album Ali & Toumani is definitely worth a listen.

Vintage Sci-Fi April 17 2017, 0 Comments

I recently stumbled on an image of a vintage science fiction book cover on Pinterest and got sucked into a google image search of mid-century space mania.  Given the time in history, people were obsessed with space travel so there was a surge in science fiction literature.  The artwork that was often created for these books and comics are quite beautiful. They make me want to escape to space.

Paradise Palms April 05 2017, 0 Comments

There's no secret that we love palms here at ecru.  Our first palm was the print of the "Palm" leaves and then we introduced the "Deco Palm" for our Africa collection.  This year we are continuing our love affair by etching palm trees on glass.  The first products we etched with these lovely palms were the Carafe and Glasses, our latest Cloche has etched palms on them too.

All glass products can be found here.
