Globe Trotting Doris November 14 2016, 0 Comments
I recently watched a movie about the tobacco heiress Doris Duke. What fascinated me about Doris' life, is her passion for Islamic and Oriental artifacts. Her house in Hawaii which was dedicated to the arts, which will be the subject of another post. Besides her obsession with collectibles, she had a unique and quite forward sense of style. From her days as a debutante to her later years in philanthropy, she always looked impeccable. Her interesting life is definitely worth reading about.

Today we decided to go to 1960s France with our music, and Serge encompasses that the most.
Hitchcock's Blondes October 29 2015, 0 Comments
If it's one thing we have in common in the ecru office, it's the love of old movies. Since Halloween is around the corner, I cannot help but getting the urge to binge watch my favorite Hitchcock thrillers.
Hitchcock was famous for casting beautiful blondes in his movies. They were always dressed impeccably by Edith Head, at least his movies from the 1950s and early 1960s. My personal favorite is Grace Kelly's characters in To Catch a Thief and Rear Window.
