The Luck of the Lapis Lazuli November 20 2018, 0 Comments
Lapis Lazuli is a semi-precious stone known for it's healing properties and known for creating self-awareness. The stone has been used since the 7th millennial BCE to adorn jewelry and its pigment used for decorative purposes. A lot of Lapis was used in Ancient Egyptian jewelry and artifacts, as seen int he first three top images. During the 1920's when King Tut's tomb was excavated the revival of Ancient Egyptian motifs and designs became so popular with the Art Deco design period, which can be seen in the bottom two images. Art Deco is a huge inspiration for us and we love using Lapis and other semi-precious stones for their healing properties. We added some Lapis Lazuli to rock crystal in our decorative Charms for our latest gift collection.
