Mother of Pearl May 23 2016, 0 Comments
There is something quite fantastical about mother of pearl. Its iridescence is what makes it so special. Nacre, or mother of pearl, is the organic composite material that is produced in the inner shell. It is also the material is that makes the outer coating of pearls. Mostly found in the pearl oyster and freshwater mussels, it is used in many decorative arts and clothing. We recently used it to adorn our marble and brass flower vases. They add that touch of luminosity to the product.
